Waking at fort Lauderdale airport in the morning at 9ish I was surrounded by fat north Americas; coming from south America there is such a dramatic change in appearances, culture and overall size of the people.
I went to use the toilet to take off a load an found myself looking for the bin that you throw the toilet paper in, like I have done for the last several months. It was also an issue to turn on the tap and paper towel dispenser, all using motion detection.
When I checked in I was asked to pay for my luggage, thankfully because I was on another flight before 24 hours the woman wavered the cost.
So here's a top tip, if you falsify an itinerary for a flight before you get yours, your luggage is free - it's worth a try!
Security in America is simply ridiculous!
They checked everything of mine, shoes, laptop battery and even my duct tape watch. I even had the privilege of going through one of those new body scanners.
I was saying before about the physical size of Americans here is something I just witnessed, a guy that was too big for the seatbelt to fit him, he had to ask for an extension for his seatbelt - perhaps this is sign to loose wait but whatever I'm incredibly happy not to be sitting next to him.
